Closing a Chapter - Graduation Day with Tiny Prints

The Smith's have home-schooled their four children for many years and their oldest son graduated this month. I was invited to help organize the graduation ceremony for James, and his family. A home-schooled graduation ceremony was something new for me to plan, but it was easy enough to put together. The Smith's went all out with the theme, invitations, guest roster, activities, food, making a diploma, and getting James that robe and cap to wear. I feel the Smith's did most of the work, but I had fun helping. We designed a plan that mixed formal with carefree, and  I think that worked out just fine.

We certainly had a good time during and after the ceremony. The Smith family, and their friends all chimed in to tell stories about James' progress throughout the years. There were both smiles, and tears in the audience as James stood to accept his diploma. We had a very nice potluck dinner by the lake, and listened to music, the older kids danced, and the younger kids played games.

May is here, and students will say goodbye to the grade they just completed. It's graduation time, and It's time to celebrate your achievement. Tiny Prints is here to help.
